Selection guide

Three checks before you compare prices

These decide whether a drive actually works in your chassis. Price comes after.

By interface

A SAS backplane accepts SATA drives; a SATA backplane never accepts SAS. The same capacity point ships as separate SATA and SAS SKUs with different part-number suffixes.

Confirm the host interface from the server or array manual first — an interface mismatch cannot be fixed in firmware.

By condition

New, new-pull and refurbished drives are quoted separately and behave differently in RAID rebuilds. For refurbished stock, ask for the test report per serial number — a full surface scan plus SMART dump — not a batch-level claim.

We state the exact condition on the quotation, so the price you compare is for the condition you actually receive.

By firmware compatibility

NetApp, Dell EMC and HPE arrays check drive firmware and will reject or flag non-OEM disks, even when the base part number matches.

If the drives go into a branded array, send us the array model — we match the OEM firmware revision, not just the base model.

FAQ

Common questions on Enterprise SSD

How do I choose between read-intensive and mixed-use?

Match endurance to writes, not to headline speed. Read-intensive drives are typically rated around one drive-write-per-day; mixed-use drives cost more but tolerate sustained write workloads. We state the endurance class for each part number before quoting.

Will a U.2 or E3.S drive fit my server?

Only if the backplane and cabling are wired for PCIe in that form factor. Send the server model and we confirm the compatible option before you order — a SATA/SAS bay cannot host a U.2 drive.

Do refurbished SSDs come with wear data?

Yes. For refurbished SSD batches we can provide SMART wear indicators — percentage used and total data written — before dispatch, so the remaining endurance is known rather than assumed.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Single units are fine for evaluation; pricing improves at volume. Mixed capacities and models can ship in one consignment.

Need a part number that is not listed?

Send the model, quantity and destination country — we confirm stock, condition and lead time within one business day.
