Client & Consumer Drives
Client-grade SATA SSDs and desktop hard drives for system builders, resellers and volume deployment projects. Quoted in bulk, with condition stated per batch.
Selection guide
Three checks before you compare prices
These decide whether a drive actually works in your chassis. Price comes after.
By interface
A SAS backplane accepts SATA drives; a SATA backplane never accepts SAS. The same capacity point ships as separate SATA and SAS SKUs with different part-number suffixes.
Confirm the host interface from the server or array manual first — an interface mismatch cannot be fixed in firmware.
By condition
New, new-pull and refurbished drives are quoted separately and behave differently in RAID rebuilds. For refurbished stock, ask for the test report per serial number — a full surface scan plus SMART dump — not a batch-level claim.
We state the exact condition on the quotation, so the price you compare is for the condition you actually receive.
By firmware compatibility
NetApp, Dell EMC and HPE arrays check drive firmware and will reject or flag non-OEM disks, even when the base part number matches.
If the drives go into a branded array, send us the array model — we match the OEM firmware revision, not just the base model.

FAQ
Common questions on Client & Consumer Drives
What is the difference between client and enterprise drives?
Enterprise drives are rated for sustained 24/7 operation and higher workloads; client drives are built for desktop and notebook duty cycles. Client drives are the right choice for cost-sensitive builds and the wrong choice for 24/7 server duty.
Do you supply mixed lots?
Where stock allows, yes. Condition and warranty are stated per line item so there is no ambiguity about what is new and what is refurbished.
Can these be used in a NAS?
For light home NAS use they can work, but for multi-bay or 24/7 NAS we recommend enterprise or NAS-rated drives instead.
Do you quote in volume?
Yes — send the model, quantity and destination and we quote the matching volume tier. Mixed models can ship together.
Need a part number that is not listed?
Send the model, quantity and destination country — we confirm stock, condition and lead time within one business day.
